Chapter Ten: His beating white wings
"Soar, Aureola."
A blinding light made even Lilith the demon lord to shield her eyes. And then, with her next sight of the irrepressible Arjen Tennes, all composure left her. With two gigantic wings behind him, and holding a sword that was shining like a beacon in the evening sun.
"What.. Are you?" Lilith stummered
"It doesn't matter what I am. This is Aureola's third form. I forgo all magic, and channel all of it into my sword. I can now use my sword's abilities to the maximum."
"The.. Wings..?"
"Each feather are made of magic, it will all fade away when I die or use up all my magic." Turning back to look at them, "I doubt I will use it up."

Lilith shrieked, and numerous beautiful women appeared, with the all perfect body and looks yet with fangs. They are Succubi.. Demons that prey on men for sexual desires to absorb all their vitality and energy till dry husks remains. They are also fearsome fighters when aroused, all waiting to pounce on Arjen and take his magic for their own usage.
"Do you seriously think that this little girls can defeat me?" Arjen smiled. "Light of crusade." With a gigantic swing of his sword, thousands of swords that were similar to Arjen's fell from the sky and rained onto Lilith and her Succubi. All except Lilith perished in the deadly rain..
"You.. What are you?"
"Don't make me repeat myself. It doesn't matter who or what I am."
"You..."
"Space Collapse." Particles of light began gather at Lilith's feet, the speed of the the gathering increased to an unprecented level until she was trapped and covered by orb-shaped light prison.
The gigantic orb compressed, vapourising very thing inside.
"You..." Against all odds, Lilith actually survived. Then she vanished with a sweep of her gown.
"She actually survived that."
"Don't ever let me worry about you again.." Marin threw her arms around Arjen.
"I won't.. I promise.." His wings faded away.. His sword was sealed once again.

Arjen set up wards to protect themselves against any demonic presences. "Now that we are safe and all.. I will tell you how I got bewitched."
"How?" Aerith asked.
"I heard some sounds coming from the forest while I was on guard. Then I went there to check, only to find her lying injured there. After I patched up her wounds, which was only minor, she kissed my cheek.. Then everything went blank.."
"She kissed you?!" Marin looked livid.
"Yea.."
"She's so dead when I see her again."
"Chill, partner." Aerith said, trying to calm Marin down.
"Don't ever let your anger override your consciousness, sis." Jasmin cried.
"Hard when someone tried to seduce your boyfriend and made him attack you."
"They are right. But next time we see her again, you will have a chance to fight her, my love." Arjen answered her.
