Chapter Six: FRIEND becomes FOE
"What.... Even Damien is dead?" Amon was seriously shocked.
"Yes.."
"It's about time.. I want you.. To lead ten battalions of djämons to the castle's entrance. This time, I, Amon of the Wrath shall enter the flay...."
"Yes, milord."
The djämon captain went out to follow the Demon Lord's order.
Even Damien? Whoever that killed Damien is certainly strong. Tennes? No, someone who uses frost as his weapon. "I will seek him out..."

"Tennes, meet Seraphy's defenders, Jasmin, Marin and Pino. Those two little girls are my daughters that are going to be the sages of Seraphy one day.." Chronos smiled at his daughters. "Meet Arjen Tennes. Son of Spegel's sage.."
"Please to meet all of you." Arjen repiled, although his eyes were resting upon Marin.
"Why are you looking at me? Sir?" Marin answered sacarstically.
"You were imagining." Arjen turned away to face Pino. "Anyway, please to meet you. I'm Arjen Tennes"
"Pino Cirrus, the Mage of Frost. Hi." Pino smiled.
"And I'm Jasmin. Druid." Jasmin faced Arjen.
"Yea. So people.. Let's talk over dinner later. I have to melt the village from what my comrade created." Arjen grimaced. Taking one last look at Marin, Arjen vanished.


"Fabio. You almost made the whole village seem like an avalanche happened."
"Arjen, you are back." Fabio laughed. "Well, Damien De Vlad was here, had to give my all." Wiping off his smile. "Who knows what will happen if I didn't? He didn't even reached his maximum power before I kill him."
"I thought you said he was weak." Weiss retorted.
"I was joking, fool. De Vlad has much more than that. But if the other side is gonna treat us like a joke, we shall wipe them out. Once and for all.."
Nicely said. Now then.." Arjen was cut off by an attack from the left.. A familiar figure appeared, flanked by one of Spegel's most talented female warrior. The attack was deflected by Weiss using her dagger.
"Retiq Weiss. You've gotten stronger.." the figure said grimly, then pulling back his hood.
"GARLAND?" Fabio grabbed his weapon.
"Yes, you will all die today. Terraz, take out those two insipid creatures. Tennes is mine."
"As smug as ever huh?"
"Not as much as you, Tennes. Let's get started. Shall we? Unseal your sword!" With that Garland spun his spear in his hands "Wind, gather before me.. Strike with fury!" The Odin's Lance shook and turned dark silver. "Cyclone Blast." Two massive wind lance flew and combined into an extremely huge wave of destruction. The wave, destroying everything in it's path, descends upon Arjen, who had just pulled out his sword to cut the wave.
The wave split and combined again, this time coming from Arjen's back, "Blitzshield." A gigantic shield of light appeared just in time to block the wave, only slightly eroding.
"Well, nice little shield. Unseal your sword, Tennes. Set upon the light? Change it to Set upon the dung.."
"Set upon the shine was just a quote to mislead the demons into thinking that I had unseal my sword. I will not unseal my sword until you push me to my limit. Even without unsealing, our difference in strength should be apparent."
"What?!" Sending another lance of wind at Arjen, only to find that it completely passed through him.
"The latent power of my sword. Complete control over light. You just attack a light illusion." Arjen raised his sword, "Light blast." A gigantic crescent-shaped blast flew toward Garland who then blocked it with his spear.
"Unseal now."
"Since you wish to see it so much, prepare to be dazzled." Driving his sword into the ground, "Amplify."
"That's it?"
"Nay, I have complete control over light. You'll see what I meant." A sword like Arjen's appear near Garland, then driving into his foot.
"What the..?"
"Rödblitz" A low power lightbeam spell but under Arjen's immerse magical powers, it was devastating. Burning a hole through Garland's shoulder.

Meanwhile, "Stop looking around, fools." Terraz shouted.
Two gigantic rocks rose from the ground and assailed Weiss and Fabian, and before it hits, plant roots appeared on the rocks, which then adhered to the ground, effectively tying them there.
"What do you think you are doing, brat?"
"Who are you?"
"Marin, daughter of Seraphy's Sage."
"I see, it makes no difference." Two hand composed of rocks grew from the ground and grabbed Marin's leg. "I love killing important people." Terraz said with a sardonic smile. "See my ultimate technique." Rocks began making a gigantic dragon, which opened it gigantic maw, "Calatonic beam" A red light started to coalesce between the maws, which was then fired at Marin.
It all seems to be the end but.. "Blitzshield" A light blocked the beam which was then shattered by it, but the caster threw himself to save the young druid.
"ARJEN!!"
"Well, trying to be a hero huh?" Garland remarked.
"I thought we were friends, Dowell." Fabio shouted.
"Used to be, but betrayers must be.. Eliminated. Now.. To finish the fight."
Garland began to move backwards into where he was moments ago, but his consciousness remained. "What the.."
"Dowell, how dare you?"
"Sage of Seraphy huh? I shall crash you too." Slashing his spear in the air, "Cyclone Swipe"
Deflecting the attack with a single hand, "Useless. I shall take the prized spear from you. A tainted being have no rights to use it." The sage glanced at Arjen, "Heal him, Jasmin."
Jasmin, who had just arrived, "Yes, dad."
"I shall carry on the fight from here." Pino, who also just arrived remarked. "You devastated my village."
"No. Allow me to, Pino. Or my skills will get rusty." The sage used a spell of incredible potency, sealing the Odin's lance into a portal which led to Spegel, and blasting Garland away.
"I will be back to kill Tennes. I shall procure an even more powerful weapon. Let's go, Terraz." With that, the duo walked off into the night.

"Arjen, why did you save me?" Marin almost cried.
"Because.. You.. Are innocent.." A weak smile lighting up Arjen's face.
"Dad, I want to follow them on their trip." Marin told the sage.
"Yes, you may." The sage replied. "Jasmin, go with them. Pino, stay. You need to protect the village with me."
"Yes, sir."

Hours later, fully healed and rejuvenated, Arjen and his party set off.. "Hey, we need a name for our party." Fabio said.
"McAteer. After the legendary Spegel's sage?" Arjen suggested. "Anybody disagree?"
"Nah." Everyone else replied in unison.
"Great.." Arjen smiled, eye resting upon Marin again.
"What are you looking at?" Jasmin observed cheekily.
"Hmm.. The environment. We are safe."
"Pfah.. Bullshit." Jasmin said, to everybody's amusement.
"Whatever. Let's go."
"Right.."
